Boxing Scotland has now teamed UP with Unique Physique Clothing in an official partnership which will see the team heading to the gold coast wearing the new high-performance range from UP. The Gold Coast Commonwealth games are set to start today the 4th April 2018 and will host athletes from all around the world and watch them compete for their country.

Meetings for the new partnership started taking place back in April 2018 as Boxing Scotland were looking for a fresh alternative to sportswear. In the past, Scottish Boxing used standard sportswear from the usual big brands but they were looking for something new, vibrant and unique to make their athletes feel good, look good and to perform to the best of their ability. After a few meetings between CEO Stuart (UP) and CEO Fraser (Boxing Scotland), the pair reached an agreement to move things forward after the designs were approved.

Fraser Walker, Interim CEO for Boxing Scotland, said: “As our boxers put the finishing touches to their training for this year’s Commonwealth Games, we are delighted to have secured this great partnership with Unique Physique Clothing, which both underlines and enhances our Gold Coast ambitions. The new kit sponsorship with UP will not only bring a real sense of identity to the team as they proudly represent Scotland on the world stage”

Unique Physique is also working closely with Boxing Scotland by providing discounts to members when they purchase UP and a share of profits will go back into the youth teams at grassroots level helping them to develop and strive for success through the next generation of boxers.

Boxing Scotland sent 11 of their top boxers to represent Scotland with the first fight of the tournament starting on the 4th April 2018. Stephen Newns is the first boxer to represent Scotland and will be fighting today against John Molenifrom Tonga. Unique Physique wishes Scotland the best of luck and look forward to your success.
